Descriptive Essay Orange Snowflakes - 906 Words

Orange Snowflakes Spring is no doubt the greatest season of the year. With the fresh rain hitting the window imitating a faint yet calming song like sound. The vibrant flowers sprouting at the speed of light. The frosty wind sweeping across the tiny freckles scattered across my petite nose. Bright Orange and White flashes covering the mildewy spring grass of The Lacrosse Field; the place I feel free to get away from the world, playing a game that in my eyes, is like a day in the candle store. Managing Lacrosse is something I love spending my days doing, and is something I will never regret doing. In Colorado, Lacrosse is much better known as The Mammoths, but to me is a springtime activity I will pursue throughout the rest of my high†¦show more content†¦Not too long after, I finally agreed and asked permission from my parents as well as our athletic director. Understandably, the first couple of weeks went by slowly since I was a new person. An alien invader. Although the more time I spent at practices, the more I became closer with the players. When the season came to an end, the boys made me feel so apart of the team by asking if I would return next season since they were grateful I was there. With the love I have for these boys, how could I say no? 2016, my sophomore year. The year I would return to Lakewood Junior Varsity Lacrosse; The place I left my comfort zone. The place I finally made friends for the first time in high school. The place I found what I truly love. A sanctuary, the place we strive to be in the safety of our team. This season was ours and we we ren’t going to let anything stop us. Our first game was finally here. â€Å"We are LAKEWOOD!† Chanted the players running onto The Field, their safe place. With Jack Frost forcing his way onto anything and everything he can, the boys take their positions. Four 12 minute quarters, we got this. The bell screams signalling the start of the game. ‘Clomp clomp clomp’ the sounds of cleats smashing into the cold, dead grass as the players rush to try to get a goal. About an hour of intense shots goes by and the game ends. Lakewood takes the win. Six nothing.
